Dancer’s Bios

Shana Lynch is currently a senior at Penn State. She has been dancing since the age of three at various dance studios across the country. Shana has been a member of the Penn State University Dance Company for three consecutive years. She was the Assistant Student Director as a sophomore and was the Student Director of the company for two consecutive years. Shana attended and performed at the American College Dance Festival at Ohio University in March 2007, Connecticut College in February 2008, and Penn State University in March 2009. She is also a member of ETCH Dance Company. This will be her fourth year with ETCH. Shana is an Elementary Education Major and a Dance Minor who plans to graduate in the Fall of 2009.

Megan Moore is from Hollidaysburg, PA & a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a double major in Kinesiology & Integrative Arts- Dance. Her early training was with Allegheny Ballet Company, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet,, & Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Megan has danced with Anne Burnidge, Michelle Dunleavy, Kikora Frankin, Jocelyn Hrzic, & Ann Van Kuren. Megan has performed at ETC Performance Series, Project Dance, WAX Works, the Cherry Blossom Festival, & Bates Dance Festival. Megan has been working with Elisha since 2005. She now teaches at Penn State as an Adjunct Instructor of Dance. She is also pursuing her certification as a Movement Analyst at the Laban Institute for Movement Studies. Megan is an original member of ETCH Dance and now also serves as the Company Manager.

Lauren is from Long Beach, CA. and is currently in her third year working on a major in Integrative Arts- Dance from the Pennsylvania State University. She studies at Center Stage Dance Academy in Long Beach, CA directed b Leslie Clifford where she trained, performed since age 7. She was selected through Kids Artistic Revue to travel to New York City to study at Broadway Dance Center. Lauren attended Woodrow Wilson High School, where she choreographed for the annual spring and winter shows. This is her third season with ETCH.

Caity Rogowski is currently working towards a degree in Integrative Arts from The Pennsylvania State University. She graduated from Woodbridge Senior High School’s Center for the Fine and Performing Arts, in Northern Virginia, with a focus on dance in 2007, and spent her Freshman Fall semester of college as a dance major at James Madison University. Since coming to Penn State, she has continued her training through various technique classes and performance opportunities. This is her first season as a member of ETCH Dance Co.

Courtney Becker is a junior at Penn State University majoring in Accounting with Information Systems Management and Dance minors. She began dancing in Philadelphia and has continued for the past nineteen years. She is a dancer for ETCH Dance Company as well as a part of Dancer’s Repertory Project at Penn State and she has also performed with Volé: the Penn State Ballet Company.

Jaclyn Mayer is a Junior, History Education Major & Dance Minor at Penn State. She trained with the Encore Ensemble Dance Company in Edison NJ. SHe has performed with the Dance Rep Project at Penn State. Jaci has also performed for ETCH Co. members & alumni Marianne Aichele, Shana Lynch, Megan Moore, & Lauren Steinke. This is her first season with ETCH.
