Elisha Clark Halpin is a dancer, choreographer, & teacher based in Pennsylvania. She is an Assistant Professor of Dance & Head of Dance at Penn State University. Elisha teaches modern technique, somatics, yoga, composition, & improvisation. Her creative work deals with the human condition & prevalent issues in society by creating a vigorously & emotionally charged movement vocabulary.
In 2006,  she was an Emerging Choreographer at the Bates Dance Festival. Elisha was awarded a Pennsylvania Partnership in the Arts grant for her work Fractured Urgency. She has received funding from the Institute for the Arts & Humanities, as well from the President’s Fund at Penn State.
Elisha’s work has been presented at the Bates Dance Festival (ME), Clarice Smith Center (DC), COOL New York Festival, Cherry Blossom Festival (PA), DUMBO Dance Festival (NY),  Movement Research’s Open Performance Series (NY), SUNY Brockport (NY), Toronto International Festival, Uptown Performance Series (NY), WAX Works (NY), & World Dance Alliance (WI).
In addition to her work as a choreographer, Elisha has worked with Ann Van Kuren, Balinda Craig Quijada, Bebe Miller, JoAnna Mendl Shaw, Kristina Isabelle, Nicole Stanton, Susan Hadley, & Tiffany Mills. Elisha Clark Halpin, Artistic Director
